Robert Reiser, Associate Dean for Research, and John Dempsey, Director of the Innovation in Learning Center at the University of South Alabama and Instructional Systems graduate ’88, recently received the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT) Design and Development 2012 Outstanding Book Award for their publication “Trends and Issues in Instructional Design and Technology.”  The award is not given every year. It is given only when there is a consensus among reviewers that there is a work that is deserving.
