It is with sad hearts that the College informs each of you of the sudden passing of Dr. Barbara Edwards yesterday. Edwards, Associate Professor and Education of Students with Exceptionalities (ESE) Program Coordinator, began her career at the FSU College of Education in 1989. She was the recipient of multiple awards and honors and was a member of several professional organizations. The School of Teacher Education, the College, the University, and the profession has a lost a wonderful educator, mentor, colleague, and friend. She will be missed greatly. As more information regarding funeral and/or memorial services becomes available, the College will notify.

Barbara came to FSU the year after we did. Our family shared 15 years of Seminole tailgating with her. You will never meet a greater fan than Barbara was. She was a wonderful woman and will be missed by many.

I worked with Barbara for six years within the College of Education and had the honor of her becoming my best friend. We worked togehter and traveled together. I am extremely shocked to hear about her passing. She is a sister that will truely be missed.

      Dear Sharon,

I,Deborah Livings, and Sondra Stanley are very close friends of BJ also. We were extremely shocked and sadden to hear of the sudden passing of our friend. Even though it has been over a year ago we are still puzzled as to the specific of her passing.

I had talked to her about to weeks before she passed and Sondra had talked to her 3 days before she passed.

Can you share any detail with us?
