Giving in Memory of Dr. Barbara Edwards

February 19, 2013 Leave a comment Go to comments
The Special Education Program, students, faculty, and staff of the College of Education were as much a family to Dr. Barbara Edwards as her brother and two nephews.

She demonstrated her love for her field and for the many students that she worked with by establishing the Lois and Thomas Edwards Scholarship for Special Education in the College of Education. This scholarship, in memory of her parents, will serve as a lasting tribute to the vision and commitment to her work and life. This endowed scholarship, which will be funded through a generous estate gift from Barbara, will be granted to a student in the special education program in the College during their coursework at the upper class or master’s level.
For those who would like to personally make a gift in memory of Barbara, a donation can be made to the Lois and Thomas Edwards Scholarship for Special Education.
Checks made payable to the FSU Foundation can be sent to P.O. Box 3062739; Tallahassee, FL; 32306-2739. Please indicate the scholarship name on the memo line.

Gifts can be made online through the College of Education Giving Page. Be sure to:
·         Select “other” in the Designation field
·         Include “Lois and Thomas Edwards Scholarship,” in the next field
·         Select “In Memory of” in the Tribute box and include Barbara Edwards
